Platform Compatibility
Our learning platform works seamlessly across devices and operating systems. You can start a session on your desktop, continue on your tablet during commute, and review materials on your phone.
Setup Guidelines
Getting your system ready takes about 20 minutes. Most participants find the process straightforward, though we're here to help if you run into any snags.
I've been helping finance professionals get their systems ready for analytics training since 2018. The biggest mistake I see? People assume their five-year-old laptop will handle everything perfectly. While older systems often work, having adequate RAM makes a huge difference when you're working with large datasets in Excel or our web-based tools.
Pro tip: If you're planning to use this training for actual work projects, consider upgrading your hardware before starting. The investment pays off when you're not waiting 30 seconds for pivot tables to calculate.
Common Technical Issues
Based on our experience with over 2,000 program participants, here are the most frequent technical challenges and their solutions.
Connection Timeouts
Usually happens with corporate networks that have strict security settings.
- Contact your IT department with our network requirements document
- Test from a personal device on mobile data as backup
- Consider using our offline-capable materials during restricted periods
Video Playback Issues
Choppy video or audio sync problems typically relate to bandwidth or codec issues.
- Close other bandwidth-heavy applications during sessions
- Switch to lower quality settings in video player
- Update your browser or try a different one
- Download offline versions when available
Excel Integration Problems
Add-ins or macros not working properly with your Excel version.
- Enable macros and add-ins in Excel security settings
- Run Excel as administrator if on a work computer
- Use our cloud-based Excel alternative if local version conflicts
File Download Failures
Large files timing out or getting corrupted during download.
- Try downloading during off-peak hours
- Use a download manager for large files
- Clear browser cache and disable extensions temporarily
- Request alternative download links from support
